Human Performance & Sport Study Abroad Trip
Support our students as they have the opportunity to study abroad in Scotland! Students will grow and learn as they tour various historical and culturally rich international human performance and sport programs and locations. This once-in-a-lifetime trip allows students to compare international approaches to human performance and sport through combination of travel, site visits, tours, interactive educational activities, research in libraries of local institutions and lectures. Lectures may highlight current scientific and cultural themes, governance, management, marketing, sport operations and development, health and fitness initiatives, protocols, and collective sport activities.
This ten-day study abroad trip experience includes a cultural tour of Glasgow and Edinburgh, a day at the Emirates arena, St. Andrews Golf course, a professional netball game and much more.
Our goal is to raise $2,000 to assist students with travel and transportation funding needs. Expenses include public transit passes, meals for the participants, housing for the group, and any other fees related to the trip (baggage fees, passports, etc.). Each student is responsible for raising personal funds to get them to and from Scotland, but the out-of-pocket trip expenses will decrease with the generous help of family, friends and donors.
